Effectively we do. Whilst we don't have final say on any groundshare. The PL rules needs both clubs to agree to a share, which the LLDC can't enforce.

According to the Standard it is in the public domain that we have the final say over whether another football club can share the ground or not. So unless the Standard is wrong then she's not bullshitting.
But I don't see why we'd agree when any additional rental payment would go to the stadium management and not us. We would surely have to ask for some form of payment to make it worth our while.

Well if we have sold 55,000 STs as they claim, how's that going to work when we play Chelsea? 2 people for every seat perhaps?????
either that or one of the sides will have the away allocation only

I'd be reading for years how we have no control over the stadium, and it's RENTED.
but now people slagging off Karen Brady for acting like the landlord and allowing Chelsea into OUR ground.
I think people need to make up their minds what kind of control we have over the ground.

However jealousies and rivalries will not be particularly concerned with any facts and resentments will grumble on with the small minded.
Why should we be concerned about this? Well if we were talking about our core support, it probably does not matter, most of who simply feel smug that we have got such a fantastic deal with the stadium. However the aim of the OS Project should be to grow our commercial and supporter base. It is the prospect not of our present capacities which strikes fear and anger into the hearts of the Tottenham Board, but our potential for commercial growth.
In that context Public Relations do matter. If we want to make people feel comfortable about adopting the mantle and heritage of our great club then making the public discourse positive and favourable does become a consideration. We want to continue our traditions as an inclusive, family orientated club. To that extent showing that we are open and generous enough to extend a helping hand to one of our rivals, in Chelsea, may ironically allow us to, in the future, become genuine competitors with them.

cuz - That quote is meaningless (aside from the first season bit I think).
ALL we can do is complain that our matches won't be given primacy, or the pitch will get knackered, the stadium owners and football associations assure us we will have primacy and every ground share in world football proves the grass won't get knackered - challenge over.

To be fair, it was 85% when the choice was between us or Spurs playing their home matches in West Ham. If Spurs had won the bidding we would have had a situation where they were the only team playing in West Ham. Bearing that in mind it makes you wonder what the fuck was going through the minds of the other 15%.
That being said, the board knew that that was the reason for the overwhelming vote in favour so IF they haven't sown it up with an effective veto then they really are bang out of order.
